BIOGRAPHICAL HIGHLIGHTS

As the lone child of a career Starfleet officer; Keelah spent her youth moving from one starship or starbase to the next as her mother progressed through a strong career with Starfleet Medical. Though the lack of an upbringing on her homeworld of Vulcan is blamed -

at least in part - by some for her emotional ways, Keelah has always defied such a stance insisting that it is 'simply her natural state of being - which logically would still exist wherever she were brought up'.

Once old enough, she followed in her mother's footsteps along the only career path she had ever known any real exposure to and joined Starfleet Academy. Training initially in engineering and warp theory, she would later return to the Academy for a post grad.

This was largely to accommodate a desire to remain on board the USS Legacy alongside her long time partner and - at the time - fiance, who was the Legacy's Chief Engineer. Whilst posted to the Legacy, Keelah woud become one of but a handful of survivors from the ship's tragic loss to a warp core breach of undetermined cause.

With the combined loss trauma and survivors guilt overwhelming her already fragile emotional state [which had until this point remained very much concealed to all but those needing to know], she was relieved of duty and placed on extended leave which she took on Bajor; learning meditation techniques at various temples. Her leave was eventually cut short as she was drafted back into service ahead of schedule to aid a recovery program for the construction of the USS Dawnstar, which had fallen behind due to engineering complications. Keelah's efforts in seeing the vessel meet it's commissioning date earned her distinct recognition as well as a lasting position as the Dawnstar's Executive Officer. During her time with the Dawnstar, she would later conduct an investigation into the fate of the Legacy where she was forced to confront the ghosts of her past; in that of her former fiance - believed KIA - now the CO of a rogue pirate vessel bent on vengeance against Starfleet. The conflict eventually forced Keelah to destroy the pirate ship and kill her former fiance in the process, in order to save the Dawnstar from the same fate as the Legacy.

Following regular counselling sessions whilst continuing her duty with the Dawnstar, Keelah's career continued at a steady pace until receiving her Captain's pip and being given command of the freshly refitted USS Valley Forge. Heralded as a highly experimental level of retrofit, the Valley forge was handed to a Captain with strong engineering acumen to accommodate an extended shakedown and trial period. Upon successful delivery of this - along with numerous upgrades that would later be incorporated into an extention of the refit program with the USS Lexington - Keelah would take the Valley Forge into a training role to support the Academy before one day encountering the aftermath of the USS Gainsborough's destruction. Circumstances prevailed and being in a suitable position to keep the recovered crew together, Keelah took on a large portion of the Gainsborough's crew and the Valley Forge returned to frontline duties.

Keelah's personal development has been nothing short of fantastic since the events of the USS Legacy SAR; since once again becoming engaged - this time to Captain Sam Bishop of the USS Endeavour, and in spite of heavy resistance from his family. Before being wed however, Captain Bishop would become MIA and not at a worse time as Keelah was found to be pregnant by a newly encountered species who were not familiar with multigendered biology and so forced an accelerated birth of her daughter - T'Pia. This genetic anomaly ended up with a lasting effect, causing her daughter to grow to full maturity before settling to a natural biological growth.
