Samase only knows a few things about her Parents one is that one is a Krogan and the Other is that they died During a job for Matriarch Tevetrae thanotis only a few years after she was born and since then haveing been raise by Tevetrae daughter Atropos who later also trained her in the ways of an Asari Huntress and gave her command of her personal Commandos which she still leads even after Atropos has been made a Spectre, She has since then become the Bodyguard for Atropos Bondmate Faena where she has taken ten of Atropos tweenty commandos with her on any job Faena goes on unless she is told otherwise by both Atropos and Faena. And while she is fine with working with Faena she does not like that she is apart of the eclipse though the one good thing with this is her own bondmate Nadia who she met shortly after Nadia ran from her past.

she also hates that she has now been drawn into the conflict between the humans and Batarians.
