BIOGRAPHICAL HIGHLIGHTS
Lieutenant Kayeen Valorn is the leader of a recon platoon in the Turian 43rd Marine Division. Like many turians, she entered boot camp at the age of fifteen, training for a year before being deployed to the field. Kayeen proved to be an expert marksman during the First Contact War and her squad was among those chosen by General Desolas Arterius to guard Temple Palaven during his attempt to 'enhance' the turian species using a mysterious artifact. She witnessed the general's descent into obsessive madness and when chaos broke out, the 'Valluvian Priests' converted several members of her squad, including one who was her romantic interest. The rest of the squad were forced to confront their former comrades as they escaped the temple shortly before its destruction.
The general's madness caused Kayeen to lose faith in the turian military and she resigned, a move that shocked her family. For the next six years, Kayeen Valorn disappeared from the records, with only unconfirmed sightings of female turians somewhat matching her description here and there throughout the galaxy. Then, suddenly she reappeared on Palaven with a renewed vigor to serve. She claimed that she had 'lost her way' and worked for various mercenary groups before deciding that her place was with the turian people. Kayeen enrolled in officer training, proving even more skilled than she was before. Following her training, she was given the rank of lieutenant and assigned to her current position.
