Tiah (Species)

The Tiah are a non-corporeal metamorph species existing on an isolated M-class planet in sector V-012. Sentient and highly intelligent, though not technologically inclined, they are believed to exist out of phase with the universe - not unlike Dividians. Their natural form is unknown, though presumed to be akin to that which they appear as when their phase variance adjusts to bring them into the visible realm. This is the form of a large omnivorous canidae with multiple tail appendages. Beyond this limited knowledge, they are believed to possess the capacity for influencing this realm through energy discharges originating in their natural phase variance, which possess a similar energy signature to Tetryon particles. The manifestation of this energy is known to appear as high yield discharges, deadly to living flesh, and is so believed to have evolved as a natural defense mechanism. The consistency of the energy signature is a subject of debate, as different individuals of the species have been witnessed to present energy in different hue's, suggesting an unknown variable at work.

It is believed that Tiah offspring naturally take their juvenile form based off that of a single parent, though at a variable maturation point they will morph to represent that of a chosen mate through empathic bonding. This singular and irreversible process is believed to be key to a fierce loyalty inherent to the species, with the premise that once they forge such a bond and imprint onto another individual, they are unable to revert or alter their form again.
