BIOGRAPHICAL HIGHLIGHTS

Not long after she had been assigned to the 38th Fleet, Kiera detected a burst of radiation that did match any known wavelength, She then joined the team aboard the U.S.S. Kassandra that went to investigate the radiation. Once they had arrived at the point of origin, they detected an old Walker class starship covered in the radiation and which had been subject to massive outside force with entire sections of the ship bent and twisted in its self. Despite this, they managed to identify the ship as the U.S.S. Caledonian which had been listed as M.I.A. with all hands presumed lost since the 1st Klingon war, deciding not to send an away team over to the ship they instead sent a probe to go to the bridge as the only section of the ship with any power. Once the probe got to the bridge, it identified the point of the distress signal and managed to recover the final log of the acting captain, Kassandra Laski and her last moments before an unknown alien species attached a device to her face seemingly killing her in the process. The team decided it was their duty to recover the lost to confirm their deaths officially, in doing so despite best efforts they accidentally beamed the device on the bridge with Kassandra's body, Kiera went with the team to investigate it. One of the team advanced it with a scanner reading little energy and no activity from it until Kiera approached it, causing it to activate and launch its self at her face and latching on to her. Following a period of agony and then unconscious Kiera then woke up but not quite fully Kiera as she now has the complete personality and conscious of Kassandra implanted into her as well.
