Born to serving parents, Jenni grew up with aspirations of continuing her parents tradition and so enrolled in the FEPD Military School at the age of 18. With no question in her mind as to the nature of her service; she joined the flight operations programme and soon proved to her instructors why it was such a natural choice for her. Jenni's tireless efforts paid off when she graduated the top of her class and earned a lucrative posting the Defense Service where she was honoured with the duty of testing and integrating the newly developed Eon Class Interceptor.
Her distinguished service continued as she repeatedly played a pivotal role in every significant action of the FEPD, earning her high decoration and a promotion to flight lieutenant. This distinction culminated in seeing her childhood dream of making first contact with an alien species become a reality, though even she had no dared to imagine that this event would present through another Valley Forge.
Having been raised - as all Forgers were - on tales of their ancestors; the colonists who fled Old Earth in a pre-warp prototype colonization vessel after growing increasingly despondent with the sour relations between Earth and Vulcan at the time; Jenni shared her people's almost religious regard to her heritage. This led to the first contact event - prompted by the unscheduled arrival of an alien vessel in their system - being among the few circumstances in Jenni's career which had rattled the young woman. She had prepared for first contact encounters - even dreamed and fantasized about them - but upon successfully identifying the alien vessel, she found herself thrust into a new realm of humble doubt and philosophical thought upon the implications of fate and destiny.
