BIOGRAPHICAL HIGHLIGHTS

Annria Neon is the adoptive daughter of the late Jax Neon, a former Republic naval captain who resigned to live his life as a freighter captain. According to Jax, who was on Alderaan during the Empire's invasion, he discovered the infant Annria as the sole survivor of an Imperial slaughter and brought her along to his ship. Captain Neon resigned a week after the battle, citing trauma as his chief reason, and took the child he rescued as his own. Annria was raised on Jax's freighter, the Jewel of Alderaan, where she learned to fly and work with the ship. As she grew older she began assisting her stepfather and eventually working as a full member of the crew.

Annria, like many youths who were not old enough to remember the war in any detail, yearned for adventure and sought to join the Republic military as her stepfather once had. Jax was originally strongly opposed to this idea, but gave way one day and allowed her to enlist. She trained for several months to be a trooper but never entered service. Shortly before completing her training, Annria received news that Captain Neon had been found dead and according to his will, the Jewel of Alderaan had been passed down to her. Not wanting to sell what was essentially her home to someone else, she quit the military and made her way to Coruscant to take her place as the new captain of the Jewel.
