BIOGRAPHICAL HIGHLIGHTS

A Xindi-Primate, Trenick was born and raised on New Xindus where he trained to become a medical doctor. In his studies, he became fascinated by the physiologies of the five Xindi species and the differences and similarities between them. Choosing not to specialize, Trenick practiced medicine as a general physician for a short period of time. He soon grew tired of the mundane cases he treated on New Xindus and yearned to study the galaxy and its vibrant collection of lifeforms.

At the age of 32, Trenick made the decision not only to switch career tracks, but to leave his adoptive homeworld where opportunities to study anything other than the Xindi races were rare. He enlisted in Starfleet and studied Xenobiology at the Psi Epsilon III annex. Trenick graduated in 2413, just in time for the Delta Quadrant exploration initiative. Seizing the chance, Trenick took a posting on board the USS Tenara which was deployed on a three-year mission to the Delta Quadrant.

Upon returning to the Beta Quadrant in late 2416, Trenick was promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade. While the Tenara was drydocked, Trenick searched the databases for interesting postings and came across the discovery of the EereE, a species with some similarities to the Xindi-Avians, the extinct Xindi race that had always intrigued him. Despite knowing that there was no evolutionary connection between the EereE and the Xindi, his curiosity to study a newly discovered avian species was enough for him to transfer to the 38th Fleet.

By the time he arrived, the USS Gainsborough, whose crew made first contact with the EereE, had been destroyed. Instead, Trenick took a posting on board the USS Valley Forge where Mana, the only individual in Federation territory with knowledge of the EereE, now resided. He worked primarily on studying Arshai and EereE biology during his time on the Valley Forge, the latter from second-hand information Mana provided. He also made minor contributions to the examination of Koan physiology following first contact with the United Governments of Koa. With Mana having departed the Valley Forge, Trenick is now switching focus to assist with new discoveries.
