BIOGRAPHICAL HIGHLIGHTS

Born in Osaka, Japan shortly after his parent's marriage, he spent the first decade of his life as an average late 24th/25th century kid in Japan, however after his younger sister was born his parents elected to move the family to Mars, where his father grew up originally. Tsurugi had a habit of being the smart kid to figure out problems with things from a young age... especially if it involved puzzles. In fact he enjoyed a bit too much of the attention of his young friends, and adopted a typical Osaka brashness when he started exaggerating an inflated awesome ego about himself and the building of 'his legend.' He never stopped doing this. Part of this was also inspired by his love for children superhero holos as a kid, where colorful heroes fought evil aliens and monsters. He especially liked the giant robots.

Moving to Mars ignited a passion for travel ('Legendary Journeys'), and his youthful interest in heroes made his teenage years somewhat dedicated to high-intensity training and work-outs, both in 1 G grav-plated interiors on Mars, and in the natural 1/3 G Martian gravity. He was aware that fantastical heroes were fictional ('Legendary') and that real heroes were the people who saved the Federation from the dangers in space and wore their own variations of colorful uniforms. Plus spaceships are about as cool as giant robots. This led him to settle on the idea of joining Starfleet by the time he finished up high school.

His Academy years would be rather eventful, he would get to trial an assignment with the S.C.E. at Utopia Planitia in his second year ('A Legendary Trial'). He was on Earth when the Undine attacked Earth Space Dock, though wasn't near the worst of it. This event just fueled his already excitable mind though, sometimes forgetful that people had died he would refer to the event as the Legendary Battle. His casual jokes would come back to haunt him though when the Iconians came around to Earth in his senior year when he had to help lead some other cadets, including a certain freshmen Cadet Mitsuki, on a cross pacific shuttle flight to reach Starfleet Academy while it was under lock down. Though this battle was certainly more legendary, he witnessed some rough imagery first hand as a Steamrunner class ship trying to keep a Baltim Raider from reaching the surface rammed the latter, producing a bright explosion that Tsurugi was unfortunate to be looking directly at without protection. It was close enough and bright enough to cause him permanent visual damage. This is where a friendship with the younger cadet Mitsuki began as the two ended up helping each other survive the day. He later received ocular implants restoring his vision but giving him distinctive silver colored irises, thus making him... The Legendary Silver-Eyed Warrior.

While his spirit wasn't damped much, the effect of what he'd witnessed did calm him down a lot. A bit embarrassed of his earlier silliness, he took an assignment with the S.C.E. on their roaming Engineering assistance ship U.S.S. Salai, which went to various Federation and allied worlds to help solve technological programs the local garrison's were unable to solve on their own. This broadened his horizons and skills a lot in only a few years. After a run in with a Hur'q during the recent resurgence he needed to be reassigned to Mars to recuperate from injuries, but is ready to begin a new legend now with the 38th Fleet.

He also has a pet Beagle he named Doggie Kruger, after Anubian Chief "Boss" Doggie Kruger, aka DekaMaster of Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger, because he's a nerd.
