BIOGRAPHICAL HIGHLIGHTS
Having demonstrated an aptitude for programming from an early age; Mischa followed a natural progression through her higher education at Cambridge, England into the Alliance Research Division. Her natural prowess with programming and artificial intelligence logic was said to rival that of a Quarian, and so she soon found her skills being put to good use as the Research Division was particularly interested in this field. Working for almost her entire professional life out of the facility on Luna; Mischa has had little to no opportunity to enjoy the company of anyone who wasn't at least some way close to being her intellectual equal. Over time this has developed to mis-portray her as not having patience with those not on her own intellectual level, when in fact she is simply only used to having her peers for company. Beneath the direct and focused exterior still lays the emotional heart that she once gave to an enigmatic Alliance Navy Captain - despite their respective careers never affording as much time together as either would have liked.
Over the years her reputation grew not only in the eyes of her Alliance superiors - who promoted her to lead developer on the programme - but those of the Illusive Man. Since her promotion to a position of relative power on the project in 2169 she has declined multiple approaches from Cerberus, however the seeing that the Illusive Man is nothing if not an opportunist; when Mischa's husband goes missing - presumed dead by the Alliance - in 2171, he pounces on the emotionally unstable and grief-ridden Mischa to lever her into an arrangement finally giving him the access to her project that he so long desired.
Being somewhat misled by the Illusive Man's description of their arrangement, she was taken to a Cerberus base ship where she reluctantly became the recipient of a prototype L3-X biotic implant. Despite her being slightly older than most who receive such treatments, the Cerberus scientists believed the L3-X would not only allow those over 25 to receive biotic implants, but also rival the L2's for the power they could wield. This would unfortunately turn out not to be the case as Mischa discovers that every use of her newfound biotics causes irreparable damage to her synaptic pathways. This effect would later go on to see the L3-X project cancelled as a failure and the designation even being coined more universally for 'failed L3's'.
