BIOGRAPHICAL HIGHLIGHTS
Gabriel Maskawigwan Shaw, often called 'Gabe' or 'Mask' for short, is a young Cerberus operative and one of the first trained human biotics. Gabriel’s mother was a physicist who studied element zero and as a result, Gabriel was exposed to it in the womb but survived, gaining biotic abilities. He was selected for Biotic Acclimation and Temperance (BAaT) training, where he studied under the turian mercenary Commander Vyrnnus. The brutal training caused him to despise Vyrnnus, who he believed was intentionally sabotaging human advancements in biotics. Though his hate did not extend to all turians, he was convinced that they, as a civilization, were working to undermine humanity, and eventually came to believe that all the Council races were against humans.
Gabriel also harboured dislike for the Alliance, whom he blamed for trusting and hiring Vyrnnus. When BAaT was shut down after the turian instructor was killed in a fight with Kaidan Alenko, one of the students, Gabriel severed all ties with Alliance military and returned to Earth. After attending a few Terra Firma rallies, the Illusive Man tracked down the young biotic and convinced him to join Cerberus.
Being among the finest-trained of human biotics, Gabriel has proven to be a vital asset to Cerberus despite his relative inexperience. In addition to running missions for Cerberus, Gabriel is one of those chosen to train Cerberus’ next generation of biotics, something he had long dreamed of doing, as he wishes for human biotics to be trained by humans.
