BIOGRAPHICAL HIGHLIGHTS

Owen and their twin sister Chole were born to David and Catrina MacLaing who tragically died during childbirth. Growing up, the twins mainly stuck together doing almost everything today and staying away from home for extended periods growing up as their father crept further and further in misery as he blamed them for Catrina's death.

While Owen grew up, they found them self-spending more and more time in the company of their sister and her friends as they found themself more comfortable with them, Chloe's friends were more than happy to include them in the circle of friends. When Owen was in their early teenage years, their relationship with their father deteriorated further and further due to Owen's friends, and they expressed themself. This fact, along with how Owen was feeling with this all going on, led Owen to seek a counsellor who was more than willing to help them out.

They spent a period aboard the Valley Forge during their second year in the academy before the Azedi attack on DS13 where they were injured during the attack and took leave to go back to Earth for a time where they also finished their second year. With the start of their 3rd Academic Year, they requested to be posted back onto the Valley Forge before it set out on its voyage and boarded it while it was docked at Deep Space 9.

With the approach of their 20th Birthday while on the Valley Forge they changed their name to Alexis, making Owen their dead name.
