Little is known of Meer's actual personal history, what is very well known though is his list of (alleged crimes) and is known amongst security services around the galaxy as a very enigmatic criminal mastermind. Meer was last seen on Omega, the owner of one of the largest brothels and Hanar mindfish smuggling ring on the planet. It is widely believed he's come to Cybele to expand his business although some say he was forced out of Omega by the The Patriarch after a major falling out due to a deal gone wrong. Not one to get his tentacles "dirty" in his businesses, Meer is usually surrounded by highly paid brutes, in particular, his personal bodyguard, a Drell, whom has served it's family for many years now and who has pledged her unwavering loyalty to her patron.
